French fighters to celebrate national holiday by flying over Tallinn

TALLINN, Jul 11, BNS - The French fighters stationed in Estonia on July 13 are to carry out overflights over Tallinn to celebrate Bastille Day, a national holiday in France.

The French embassy in Estonia announced that the embassy is to celebrate the French national holiday, Bastille Day, this year by way of exception on July 13.

To celebrate the holiday, two Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets of the Cigognes squadron located at the Amari air base in Estonia will be flying over Tallinn.

France at the beginning of May took over the Baltic air policing duties performed out of the Amari air base. This is the first time that fighter jets of the French air force participating in the mission are based in Estonia.
