Estonian president to discuss cooperation, security with US House Speaker

TALLINN, Apr 21, BNS - Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid at a meeting with U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan and representatives of the Congress on Saturday evening is to discuss bilateral cooperation and the security situation.

Kaljuraid is to meet with a delegation of the U.S. Congress on Saturday, headed by Ryan. The topics to be discussed at the meeting include defense and economic cooperation of the two countries, the relationship of the U.S. with Europe, and the global security situation, spokespeople for the president said.

The delegation is to also meet with Prime Minister Juri Ratas on Saturday to discuss Estonia-U.S. defense cooperation, the security situation and global foreign political challenges.

Besides Ryan , the delegation includes U.S. Representatives Mac Thornberry, Brian Mast, Don Bacon, Martha Roby, Jeb Hensarling, Ron Kind and Gregory Meeks.
