One more barrack to be built at Adazi military base for EUR 10 million

RIGA, May 14 (LETA) - Construction company Abora will build a new barrack at the Adazi military base for EUR 10,235,069, LETA was told at the Defense Ministry.

The new standard design barrack in urgently necessary for the accommodation of allied forces in Latvia, the ministry informed.

The contract with Abora has been concluded as a result of a negotiations procedure, which was held in line with the 2014 government decree on the allocation of additional financing in 2016-2018 to provide the host country's support to the allied forces. In cases of urgent procurements, such contracts can be awarded in a negotiations procedure.

Three companies - Abora, Arcers and UPB - had been invited to the negotiations on the construction of the barrack in Adazi.

Abora was awarded the contract as its proposal was found to be the most economical and least expensive.

According to information available at Firmas.lv, Abora belongs to Tehnocentrs, a company owned is businessman Juris Kravalis who is a member of the Abora board.
