    Estonia: National Defense Council to discuss development of e-state

    TALLINN, Apr 17, BNS – The National Defense Council is to convene on Wednesday to discuss issues connected to Estonia's e-state development at the invitation of President Kersti Kaljulaid.

    The council is to discuss the technological development of the e-state as well as issues related to ethics and security. The council will also get an overview of the aftermath of the ID crisis and events in Syria, spokespeople for the president said.

    The National Defense Council is an advisory body to the president that meets as and when necessary. It consists of the speaker of parliament, prime minister, chairmen of the parliamentary National Defense Committee and Foreign Affairs Committee, minister of foreign affairs, minister of defense, finance minister, minister of the interior, justice minister, minister of economic affairs and infrastructure, and commander of the defense forces.
