TALLINN, Apr 20, BNS - The Estonian Research Council has announced a competition for the establishment of a center of analysis that would work through data from different state and public institutions having significance for national defense.
The analysis environment will operate in the area of government of the Government Office and will monitor, gather, process and analyze data from different state institutions. The goal is to ensure the availability of sufficient basic data for making decisions about necessary actions in the event of an emergency or under martial law, for instance.
The Estonian Research Council expects consortiums of different institutions to come up with their proposals for a prototype of the agency after getting familiar with the terms of reference.
The deadline of offers is June 19. Consortiums interested in carrying out the survey can meet the parties behind the offer within 30 days of the opening of the competition to better learn about their expectations concerning the survey. The parties behind the offer are the Estonian Research Council, the Ministry of Defense, the Interior Ministry and the Government Office.
