Vejonis urges MPs to leave their arguments and different opinions behind

RIGA, Nov 6 (LETA) - Members of the 13th Saeima have to leave their squabbles and different opinions behind, President Raimonds Vejonis said during the 13th Saeima's first plenary session today.

Society expects MPs to care for the future of the country and work to achieve actual improvements, said Vejonis. He urged politicians to always remember that they represented the entire society.

Vejonis went on to say that he expected MPs to elect Saeima Presidium today and, later on, find common ground, make well-thought-out decisions, and listen to what their opponents have to say.

As reported, the 13th Saeima is holding its first plenary session where, according to the Constitution, a new Saima chairperson has to be elected.
