Teacher detained for leaking centralized graduation exam

RIGA, March 14 (LETA) - A teacher of an educational institution has been detained for leaking the materials for the oral part of the centralized English exam for high school graduation, the State Police informed LETA.

    The teacher has admitted guilt.

A criminal process has been started, but the teacher has not been taken into custody as a security measure.

As reported, a teacher of an educational institution has leaked the exam, LETA learned from the National Center for education (VISC).

Yesterday, the VISC received pictures of the English exam materials that had been sent to Delfi internet portal. VISC concluded that the materials are authentic to this year’s English examination papers of the oral part that is held on March 13.

VISC did not disclose the suspected school, just said that the information could have been leaked by the school director, or two teachers holding the oral part of the exam – the interviewer and the evaluator, who have had access to the materials prior to the exam.

VISC has already turned to the State Police.
