4.34% of voters in Latvia have cast their votes in EP elections so far

RIGA, May 23 (LETA) - During the first two days of pre-voting in the European Elections on Wednesday and Thursday, 61,305 Latvian citizens cast their votes, or 4.34 percent of eligible voters, the Central Election Commission informs.

In comparison, 3.14 percent of voters cast their votes on the first two days of early voting during the previous EP elections in 2014.

The largest activity, as usual, was in Riga, with the lowest activity, also as usual, in Latgale Province.

A total of 1.411 million voters are registered in Latvia for the EP elections.

The European Parliament elections will take place on Saturday, with early voting to continue Friday.
