RIGA, July 28 (LETA) - Education and Science Minister Roberts Kilis wishes Latvian Olympians strength, endurance, fighting spirit and for the stars to align in the right way for them to feel the taste of gold.

As the ministry informed LETA, Kilis wishes for Latvia's flag to be raised not just once, and for the Latvian athletes to bring home as many medal as possible.

As reported, the London Olympics kicked off today, and will last until August 12.

46 athletes will represent Latvia at the Olympic Games - 23 athletes, four beach volleyball players, four BMX riders, two swimmers, two pentathlonists, two canoeists, two freestyle wrestlers, two judoists, a road cyclist, a gymnast, a table tennis player, a marksman and a weight lifter.
