LONDON, Aug 8 (LETA) - Latvian beach volleyball duo Jamis Smedins and Martins Plavins will play Reinder Nummerdor and Richard Schuil of the Netherlands in the bronze medal match at the London Olympics on Thursday.
These two pairs have already played one another in the group stage, with Plavins/Smedins coming on top 2-0 (21:14, 21:18).
The bronze medal match will be played on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. (Latvian time).
As reported, in the semi-final showdown last night in London, Plavins/Smedins win streak was halted by the powerful beach volleyball duo from Brazil - Alison Cerutti and Emanuel Rego, 15-21 and 20-22.
