RIGA, July 9 (LETA) - 46 athletes will represent Latvia at the 2012 London Olympics, as confirmed during today's session of the Latvian Olympic Committee's Executive Committee.
23 athletes, four beach volleyball players, four BMX riders, two swimmers, two pentathlonists, two canoeists, two freestyle wrestlers, two judoists, a road cyclist, a gymnast, a table tennis player, a marksman and a weight lifter will depart for London.
Latvian 100-meter dash record holder Ronalds Arajs, who underwent Achilles tendon surgery, has also been included in Latvia's delegation, but will not participate.
As reported, the 2012 Summer Olympics will take place in London from July 27 to August 12.
