Improving the services provided to our English reading audience, LETA has created a new photo news section, in which photo news items are published with captions and with the picture’s technical information in the English language.

LETA photo news items on the most important and most interesting events taking place in Latvia are meant for the English speaking audience here in Latvia, as well for partner news agencies to distribute to their clients abroad.

Each day, 150 to 250 new photo news items in the Latvian language are published in LETA’s homepage, which cover events taking place in Latvia.

On the other hand, in cooperation with partner news agencies AFP (France) and ITAR-TASS (Russia), more than 900 photo news items are published in LETA’s homepage from these news agencies, which explain events in English that have taken place in these countries and around the world.

The creation of the English photo news section will not only allow the current LETA English clients to expand their outlook, but will also enrich the news flow from Latvia around the world.
