A Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane helicopter lands to refuel on the US Air Force Academy grounds near Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, 27 June 2012, as the Waldo Canyon fire continues to burn out of control in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Fanned by strong winds and high temperatures a wildfire in the US state of Colorado burst out of control late 27 June threatening the town of Colorado Springs where 32,000 people were forced to evacuate, the Denver Post reported. The fire, which was believed to have been started by lightning, is now covering more than 15,000 acres and already destroyed several homes in the foothills west of Colorado Springs. EPA/BOB PEARSON
