EPA 2012-07-02 22:37:02 GlaxoSmithKline fined USD 3 billion for fraud
A 26 June 2000 handout photo from drug maker GlaxoSmithKline PLC shows the company's corporate offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. GSK has reportedly has been hit with a USD 3 billion fine by the US Justice Department and will plead guilty to misbranding drugs Paxil and Welbutrin into interstate commerce. According to the government the drugs were marketed for afflictions for which they had not been approved.
