A Sri Lankan mother takes a nap while keeping vigil near her child under observation for dengue fever at a hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka, 26 July 2012. With all efforts on the go, dengue makes a comeback with the monsoonal rains in the island. During the last 7 months of this year 15,242 suspected dengue cases and 75 deaths have been reported to the government's Epidemiology Unit from all over the island. Among them some 48.03 per cent of dengue cases have been reported from the Western Province while the highest numbers of cases had been reported during the month of January, according to health authorities.
