Pilgrims read explanations on an information board at the Lourdes Medical Bureau for the Miracles of Lourdes (Bureau des constatations médicales des Sanctuaires) on August 8, 2012 in Lourdes, southwestern France. The place is a major pilgrimage site dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the French Pyrenees mountains. In the 130 year history of the Lourdes Medical Bureau, there have been over 7,000 documented cures that can not be medically explained. However, the Bureau has only recognized 67 as miracles.
