A BBMF (Battle of Britain Memorial Flight) Lancaster drops its poppy load over Green Park, central London 28 June 2012 while below Queen Elizabeth II unveiled the memorial to Bomber Command, who lost 55,573 pilots and crew during World War II. A wind help scatter the poppies in the centre of the capital. The unveiling was held in the presence of thousands of Bomber Command veterans, widows and family members from all over the world, as part of a ceremony that pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of their lost relatives and comrades.
