The death toll from the weather situation brought on by Typhoon Saola in the Philippines has risen to seven, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). The Philippines' weather bureau estimated that Typhoon Saola is 210 kilometers east-northeast of Basco, Batanes in the northern Philippines moving north-northwest at 7 kph with maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gusts of up to 150 kph.
