EPA 2012-05-24 17:46:46 Siberian tiger cubs presented to public for first time
One of three Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) cubs Igor, born 27 April in the Nyiregyhaza Animal Park in Nyiregyhaza, 245 kms east of Budapest, Hungary, is weighed by a keeper during their first public appearance on 24 May 2012. The mother of three cubs, Pamir, was also born in the Nyiregyhaza Animal Park. Now only 400 specimens of this critically endangered species live in the wild on the border of China and Russia along the Amur and Ussuri rivers. EPA/ATTILA BALAZS HUNGARY OUT
