Firefighters walk in the Belleville street nearby a partially burned apartments building on May 27, 2012 in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. seventeen people were seriously and five very seriously injured in the fire which was extinguished in two hours, according to Paris' firemen. The fire broke out shortly before 2:00 p.m. in the basement of the building before spreading on the stairs to the top floor.
