Anglo-Dutch group Shell will soon be allowed to resume oil exploration off the coast of French Guiana, lawmakers from the overseas French department said on June 20, 2012. This joint venture drilling project with venture energy partners Total, Tullow and Northpet, had been suspended earlier in June, as the minister for re-industrialisation was reexamining Shell's licenses in Guiana.
