Pakistan's cabinet on 04 July approved the re-opening of supply routes to NATO troops in Afghanistan after a suspension of more than seven months. The shipments were discontinued in November after 24 Pakistani soldiers were killed by a NATO airstrike in the north-western tribal region along the Afghan border. The decision was made after the US government complied with Islamabad's demand to apologize for the troop deaths. EPA/REHAN KHAN
