Protesters and police clash in Sitra village, south of Manama, Bahrain, 13 July 2012. Clashes broke-out between police and opposition supporters as they tried to rally in ten concurrent protests across the Gulf island in defiance of the authorities continued banning of peaceful protests. The opposition has accused the Bahraini government of preventing protesters in violation of local laws and international commitments, while authorities had attributed the decision to the distribution protesters cause to public order and traffic.
