(FILES) This picture taken on June 27, 2012 in Harare shows a coin vendor countimg his coins. When hyperinflation forced Zimbabwe to trash its dollar three years ago for foreign currency it brought much needed relief to the economy but created new headaches -- lack of small change. The US dollar and the South African rand have become the currency of exchange in Zimbabwe, but the dollar is the preferred currency and on which, all prices are pegged. But there just arent US cent coins available. The result is prices are either rounded up -- making goods and services more expensive for the consumers or customers have to brace for fights to get their change. Entreprenurial-minded young men have started smuggling into the country South African rand coins which they sell to bus conductors. AFP PHOTO / Jekesai Njikizana TO GO WITH A STORY BY Susan NJANJI
