The corporate headquarters of Baker Commodities, Inc., in Vernon, California, USA, 25 April 2012 is an animal by-products recycling company that handled a cow that tested positive for Mad Cow Disease at its Hanford, California collection facility. This is the first case of the disease in six years and US Department of Agriculture was quick to assure consumers and importers that the meat from the California dairy cow did not enter the food chain.
