The widows and children of former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden were deported from Pakistan, 11 months after he was killed in a raid by US forces. The family were taken into custody by Pakistani forces in May 2011 after bin Laden was killed in Abbottabad, 61 kilometres north-east of the capital Islamabad.
