EPA 2012-06-02 10:41:18 Hong Kong hosts 'Paddle for the Planet' marine conservation event
Participants take part in 'Paddle For The Planet', a globally co-ordinated marine conservation event being held in over fifty countries to raise money for Indonesian marine conservation projects, in Deep Water Bay, Hong Kong, China, 02 June 2012. The event in Hong Kong saw over 400 participants taking to the water on surf skis, stand up paddleboards, paddle boats and dragon boats to raise awareness of the international 'Paddle for the Planet' environmental campaign that aims to conserve the world's oceans, specifically by raising funds to buy patrol boats and fuel for park rangers protecting endangered shark species in the Daram Marine Reserve, Raja Ampat Islands, West Papua Province, Indonesia.
