Indian fugitive alleged finance fraudster Rakesh Saxena (C) arrives to hear the verdict in his trial at the Bangkok South Criminal Court in Bangkok, Thailand, 08 June 2012. A Thai Court has sentenced Saxena to 10 years in jail for embezzlement and ordered him to repay 1.132 billion baht (35.6 million US dollar or 28.4 million euro). Fugitive banker Saxena is accused of conspiring to embezzle 1.6 billion baht (82 million US dollar or 55.2 million euro), set up dummy loans and fabricated accounts causing the collapse of the Bangkok Bank of Commerce (BBC) and other 50 financial institutions leading to the country's 1997 financial crisis. After a 13-year wait, Thailand's judiciary is ready to proceed with 20 cases against Saxena, 59, who allegedly fled to Canada in May 1996 to avoid prosecution. EPA/NARONG SANGNAK
