Nepal's Kumari Samita Bajracharya, aged 10, has her make-up done by her mother Purna Shova Bajracharya at Kumari Ghar, Patan, Nepal, 24 June 2012, prior to taking part in a Red Chariot festival procession. The festival is considered to bring rain, good harvest, prosperity and good luck and is mainly celebrated among farmers. A Kumari, or Kumari Devi, is a 'living goddess.'
