Inglewood, California Mayor James Butts speaks at a press conference Aiugust 8, 2012 to announce details of the transfer of the Space Shuttle Endeavour to its permanent home at the California Science Center in Los Angeles, California. The five-story tall, 78 feet (24 meter) wide spacecraft is scheduled to arrive September 20 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and then on October 12 and 13 Endeavour will be transported along a 12 mile (19 km) long route through city streets to the Science Center.
