Number of persons fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Latvia exceeds 50%

RIGA, Oct 19 (LETA) - 9,393 persons were vaccinated against Covid-19 on Monday, according to the National Health Service.

On Monday, 5,050 people got the first dose, and 4,103 people completed the vaccination process, including 2,588 people who received the single-dose Johnson& Johnson vaccine, and another 240 people got their booster shots.

This data can still change as many vaccination institutions report their vaccination data with some delay.

According to vaccination data, up to and including 18 October, 1.03 million people in Latvia have received the first vaccine dose against Covid-19 or the single-dose vaccine manufactured by Johnson & Johnson (J&J), while 941,000, or 50 percent have completed the full vaccination course.

So far, 50 percent of Latvian residents have completed the immunization process.
