    Three new Covid-19 cases registered in Latvia past 24 hours

    RIGA, June 27 (LETA) - Three new Covid-19 cases were registered in the past 24 hours, according to information from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

    With 1,788 Covid-19 tests performed on Friday, the total number of tests has increased to 146,874. Of these, 1,115 tests have come up positive.

    According to June 26 data, 932 patients, or 84 percent of all confirmed cases, have already recovered from Covid-19.

    The coronavirus disease has claimed the lives of 30 people, or 2.7 percent of all registered Covid-19 patients.

    According to the National Health Service's data, one Covid-19 patient has been hospitalized in the past 24 hours. Of the seven Covid-19 patients currently being treated in hospital, six have symptoms of moderate severity and one has severe symptoms. Altogether, 178 patients have been discharged from hospitals, but this number includes both recoveries and fatalities.
