Latvia reports 727 new Covid-19 cases on Friday
RIGA, Dec 4 (LETA) - Latvia confirmed 727 new Covid-19 cases and 13 more people died of the coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed.
Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population increased slightly from 587.3 to 593.1.
Of the new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 24 hours 438 people were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course, and 289 people were fully vaccinated.
Of the latest Covid-19 victims, one was between 40 and 49 years old, one between 50 to 59, four were between 70 and 79 years old, six were between 80 and 89 years old and one was between 90 and 99 years old.
12 of the victims were unvaccinated or had not completed the vaccination process, while one was fully vaccinated.
Out of the 10,728 Covid-19 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 6.8 percent returned positive.
The total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past two weeks rose to 11,229.
Latvia has so far recorded 256,852 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases.
